Children and adults that demonstrate their strength and awareness in the orientation area are permitted to ride trails. Children must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian also renting and riding to be permitted to ride trails.
Bicycle rentals are also offered at each end of the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway (in Nelsonville and Athens)
Reservations are required for bicycle rentals by first calling 740.592.2500.

Beginner, intermediate and advanced riders, individuals, friends, couples and groups of all kinds are welcome and no experience is needed at our Sauerkraut Rd. venue. It's an excellent facility for developing rider skills before taking on a bigger challenge like the Wayne National Forest ATV trail system. Guided and unguided ATV nature trail riding on the Wayne is ideal for experienced riders.

BICYCLE RENTALS are offered at each end of the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway. This 19 mile stretch of Rails to Trails bikeway is located on the old Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad bed and runs between Nelsonville and Athens. Bicycles can be picked up in either Athens or Nelsonville and ridden on the bike path. Reservations are required. Please call 740.592.2500 to schedule your bike rental.
We also offer WIND AT YOUR BACK bicycle rentals. These are one way bicycle rentals between Nelsonville and Athens. You can park at either end, catch a ride to the other end, pick up a bike and pedal back to your car. Reservations are required. Please call 740.592.2500 to schedule a ride and reservation. In support of the emerging nature-based tourism economy our objective is to offer a fun, family oriented adventure recreation destination that offers an educational experience through motorized access to nature.
Wayne National Forest - ATV Rentals:
The Wayne National Forest is open April 15th through December 15th ~ SPRING ~ SUMMER ~ FALL
We meet riders at a designated Wayne Forest ATV trail head, provide an ATV orientation and proceed from there
Wayne Forest Daily Use Permits are provided for @ $12 per rider per day
Daily ATV rental rates apply
Experience is necessary, Intermediate and advanced riding is typical
Beginners are encouraged to get qualified at our Sauerkraut Rd. Venue.
Operational instruction are provided
Helmets are provided
Families, individuals, groups, associations, church groups and corporate outings are welcome
